Robert Pattinson, Julia Roberts, Gwyneth Paltrow and Justin Timberlake were just some of the famous faces who turned up to show their support at the annual Stand Up To Cancer telethon event in Los Angeles.
The telethon, held on Friday night at The Shrine Auditorium, is now in its third year.
Paltrow, who lost her father Bruce to cancer nearly a decade ago, served as executive producer for the event.
?I definitely feel his presence, and I think he would be really happy that I?m here tonight doing this and trying to spare other people from what he went through,? Paltrow said before the show, The Associated Press reports.
Which other Hollywood stars came out for the powerful and inspirational event?
Michael Douglas, who was diagnosed with throat cancer in 2010, told the crowd ?It picked a fight with the wrong guy . . . cancer didn?t bring me to my knees, it brought me to my feet. I stand tonight because I want to be part of this effort to find an end to cancer. This is possible.?
Douglas confirmed in 2011 that the tumor had been eliminated.
?
Friday?s Stand Up To Cancer telethon also welcomed performances by Alicia Keys, Coldplay and Tim McGraw.
Taylor Swift also brought her star power, performing a song she wrote for a 3-year-old cancer victim who died in 2011.
Over at the busy phone banks, Modern Family star Eric Stonestreet was spotted picking up calls alongside Chelsea Handler, Simon Baker and Ray Romano.
